Young Handlers
This class is aimed at school-aged youngsters and is run at the weekends and during the school holidays.  The emphasis is on having fun with your dogs and learning how to interact correctly with them. This is done through games, short quizzes and learning how to teach a few tricks. Prizes (for dogs and children) are given out for various activities done during the classes.  Some basic training techniques are covered and youngsters learn a bit about dogs in general; why dogs do what they do, when dogs should be left alone, how to greet dogs that they don't know, etc. Parents/guardians are requested to remain present for these classes, but there are tea/coffee-making facilities available for you.  Not all dog/children mixes are suitable for this class and so I do have to be quite strict for safety reasons.  If you are interested in these classes, please contact me  for further details.
